If you would like to make a order for the Farmer's Market please e-mail or call us.  This week we have quite a few whole chickens, and a limited amount of parts.  Next week we should have an abundance of everything.

We are proud to introduce the Winter Garden Collective Buying Club.  We expect the website to be up by next week. Look for delivery dates and times then.  This is just a new name for our old buying club.  It will have it's own website this year (still in the making).  San Antonio Buying Club deliveries will resume in May.  At that time we will be offering Shudde Ranch Beef (shudderanch.com) available to the Buying Club and delivery to the Quarry Farmer's and Rancher's Market (special order/reservation only).  Look for an update to our website with the Shudde's information and pricing.  In our opinion it is the highest quality grass-fed beef around.  We are thrilled to make the Shudde's beef (and cold pressed honey) more readily available to our customers.

Check out our feed supplier, H&H Old Fashioned Feeds, from Hamilton, Texas.  They are "focused on providing a high-quality feed product that is free from soy and non-GMO.We strive to include as many healthy ingredients as possible, to give your chickens a well-rounded diet much like they fed in the early 1900s. No pesticides, medications or hormones are added to our feed making it an all-natural grain feed for your flock." Owners April and Keith Howington of Burnet, Texas are truly striving to provide the highest quality feed at an affordable price, and not to mention fantastic customer service. Check out H&H Old Fashioned Feeds on the web.

We will be changing our farm name and website to Parker Creek Ranch sometime around May.  Please have patience with us as we make this transition.

Green Hills Poultry, LLC is owned by Travis Krause, Mandy Corso, and Diana Krause.  We are a family owned, multi-generational, pasture-based, sustainable farm located near D'Hanis, Texas.

We produce:

  • Pastured Chickens

  • 100% Free-Range Chicken Eggs

  • 100% Free-Range Duck & Eggs (available Spring 2012)

No antibiotics, no hormones, and soy-free / non-GMO diet.

We specialize in slow-growing breeds such as Freedom Rangers. The average age of a white feathered broiler in the U.S. is 42 days. No matter what's in your feed, a 42 day-old broiler is too young to develop taste or texture.  We believe a chicken must be at least ten weeks old before it has the time to develop the taste and texture that nature intended.  Our birds taste like chicken, not the sauce you put on it.  The meat texture is firm with a good bite.
